I’ve been counselling individuals and families for 25 years. In addition to being a Certified Trauma Professional, I specialize in helping people through grief and bereavement, life transitions and challenging family or work relationships. With training in many therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Addictions Counselling, Somatic and Emotional Regulation, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Satir Transformational Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy I am able to bring depth and flexibility to the therapeutic relationship. I’ve worked extensively with children, youth and adults who have experienced trauma as well as with emergency services personnel and veterans of war.
With compassion grounded in a non-judgmental approach I will help you move through life’s challenges in a supportive, trauma-informed way. I’ve been a counsellor and spiritual director in prisons and hospitals, was a Professional-in-Residence at the Hazelden-Betty Ford Clinic and I’ve worked with many people living with addiction on the downtown Eastside of Vancouver. I have supported many people on their road to recovery from addiction.
I own and operate Listening Horse Ranch where the in-person Equine Facilitated Therapy takes place. All other counselling takes place online.
